This is my baby Lima, a smart, energetic puppy. Lima has been training to become a Human Remains Detection (HRD) dog since she was just 8 weeks old, showing incredible focus and determination.

Recently, Lima was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, a painful condition that prevents her from running, jumping, and climbing like a normal puppy. Her energy has dropped considerably, and everyday activities now cause her pain.

Without intervention, Lima’s ability to live a normal, active life, and continue her training will be severely limited. Surgery is the only option to relieve her pain and give her a chance at a full, happy life.
