Hello! My name is Lily Yoder, and I am a sophomore at West Albany High School.

I’m excited to share that I’ve been nominated for an incredible opportunity to travel through Europe with a select group of student musicians from Oregon. This summer, I will be performing in public squares, parks, and historic venues across France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and the UK.

This trip will allow me to experience new cultures, grow as a musician, and strengthen my future college applications. I began playing the flute in 6th grade, and music has shaped my life in ways I never expected. It has helped me grow, challenged me, and now it’s giving me the chance to see the world.

To help fund this opportunity, I’ve been working hard all summer, caring for goats, dogs, cats, and birds, as well as babysitting. Through these efforts, I’ve already been able to meet several financial deadlines on my own.
