Alex and I heard about Lily’s parents story and wanted to help them get Lily to America to receive life saving treatment. We decided to hold a 24hr indoor cycling fundraiser where we will both cycle continuously (aside from short toilet stops!) on our indoor bikes for 24hrs.... the most we have done in the past is 4hrs indoors... so we have 20hrs of unchartered territory to deal with....!! 24hrs sitting on a saddle is going to bring many challenges but keeping Lily and her family in our minds we are hoping to push through the barriers and complete this amazing feat....! We will start at 6am Sat 27th Feb and finish Sun at 6am....so we haven’t had much time to prepare! 

Now to tell you about Lily..... In January 6 year old Lily and her parents Jack and Elizabeth McKelvey received the devastating news that Lily has DIPG..... a cancerous tumour on the stem of her brain which is inoperable..... the only treatment currently available in the UK is radiotherapy which if successful will extend her life for a short period of time..... however there is alternative treatment available in the US but the family need to raise £370,000 for said treatment and travel. In addition to this there is a window of time that Lily is able to travel and receive this treatment so time is of the essence......

This is every parent’s worse nightmare and reading her story compelled us to get involved and help...... and we thank you all for your support and donations.
