Help Lily the Therapy Unicorn Get Home!

Because of the incredible generosity of so many people, Lily made it through her emergency colic surgery and is now recovering at the University of Colorado Equine Hospital. You helped save her life, and I will never be able to thank you enough. We’re finally in the home stretch.  

Now I need help bringing my little therapy unicorn home. 

 I’m still trying to cover Lily’s veterinary bill, which is now over $8,000, as well as approximately $2,000 to transport her safely back to Pennsylvania so she can return to doing what she loves most—bringing smiles to children in hospitals and residents in nursing homes. 

 Lily’s medical emergency happened during the final days of our performances at the Colorado Renaissance Festival. With less than a week before our next contract at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, the rest of our horses had to continue on while Lily stayed behind to receive the lifesaving care she needed. Leaving her behind was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Being hundreds of miles away while she was fighting for her life was absolutely heartbreaking, but I had no other choice.  

Now that she’s made it through surgery and is getting stronger every day, the next challenge is getting her safely back home where she belongs.
