I’m raising funds for my sweet puppy, Lily, my 12-week-old, 2-pound chihuahua, who was diagnosed with parvovirus just days after I brought her home. She is incredibly cuddly, playful, and already such a big part of my heart. By Sunday after bringing her home on Tuesday, October 6, Lily had become very sick. I rushed her to Partner Veterinary Emergency in Frederick, where we got the heartbreaking news. It was terrifying to see such a tiny puppy go through something so serious so soon after coming home.

Lily spent 3 days in the ICU receiving IV fluids, isolation care, and tube feedings. I’m so grateful that she is finally home today, although she still has some lingering diarrhea and needs follow-up care as she continues to recover. Her emergency veterinary bill is already over $11,000, with the estimate ranging from $8,081 to $11,730, and the costs have been overwhelming. I’m asking for help to cover Lily’s veterinary bills and the care she still needs while healing at home.
