Help Lily Rebuild After Tragic Accident
Donation protected
On September 28th, 2024, around 10am, 18 year old Lily Brazzel was driving her little sister to Hulen Mall in Fort Worth to go shopping with her birthday money in her little black Mitsubishi Mirage, when a giant truck with cattle guards, not seeing her right turn, plowed into the drivers side of her car.
Lily, a 2024 Paschal graduate, had just started her freshman year at UNT with plans to major in Psychology with plans to get a Masters, but her injuries landed her at Harris hospital for a full week, 5 of those days were in ICU.
She has a very long road ahead. Her injuries included a diffuse axion injury (DAI) and a brain bleed (SDH) which has required vision therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy.
The medical and therapy costs are massive even after insurance. She is also having to return the grant money she was awarded for UNT, and she is having to take out a loan to finish paying for the semester she is not getting credit for. Car insurance isn't paying for the car, lost wages, or pain and suffering.
Lily is one of my daughter Harper's best friends, and watching her and her family go through this has been excruciatingly frustrating. We want to help them, and that is where you come in.
Please donate whatever you can to this Go Fund Me, and PLEASE share with your network. All funds with go to paying medical costs, and offsetting the cost of another vehicle, and repaying the loan for a semester at UNT that she hasn't been able to attend.
What was shaping up to be a fantastic chapter in Lily's life, has been one bill after another. Lily is unable to work, and her Aunt, Kelli, works full time at Cook's Children's to support Lily, and her sisters Matilda & Katie, and Kelli's mother who everyone calls "Gammy"
Thank you so much for your donation and for sharing this GoFundMe.
