My dog Lily has been in a bad way for the past week now. She was not acting like her spunky and silly self. She started to not eat dog food so we started feeding her human food. We got her soft dog food to eat and she seemed fine. She has always had urinary issues since she was a puppy. We figured that if we gave her meds for a UTI that it would pass. Unfortunately she became very sick over the past 24 hours. She wouldn’t really eat and anything she did she was throwing up. Lily also stopped trying to walk. I came home from IUP yesterday because she was in such a bad way. I stayed up all night making sure she was still breathing and that she was still here with us. We got her a vet appointment today, and this is what they told us: Lily might have what’s called Addison's Disease. This would require her to have lifelong care. If we would not have brought her in today she would not be alive. Her potassium levels were out of this world. She is in the vet hospital in Coudersport getting all of the treatment she needs. My dad and I need help with the medical bills for her. My dad and I do not have the funds to pay for this treatment on our own. Any help would be greatly appreciated so our Lily Grace can come home to us!
