Help Liliana Fund Her Atlantis Fellowship

Hello! My name is Liliana Negrette, a UC Irvine freshman from Monterey County. I applied for and was recently accepted into the Atlantis Fellowship Program, in which I will be able to shadow various doctors in Pavia, Italy! This program is highly selective, given the amazing opportunities it provides to its applicants. I’ll be able to learn more about different health care systems, the challenges they face compared to the U.S. system, and experience the day to day life of various medical professionals.

During my three weeks, I’ll be splitting my time between the Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo Hospital and the Fondazione Salvatore Maugeri Hospital. Both historic in their own rights, I will get the opportunity to shadow their doctors for 20hrs per week! Here, I will be learning about their doctors day to day life, possibly observing medical procedures, and further express my passion for my future career in medicine!

Thus, this leads me to my ask. In order for me to take advantage of this amazing opportunity, I will need any and all support I can get. The price of the program is $5,000, though that is excluding airfare and any other expenses. I would greatly appreciate any aid you may be able to provide to help fund my Atlantis Fellowship Program, as no gift is too small! This opportunity would do wonders in benefiting my future in the medical field, a career I will one day cater back to my home in Monterey County.
