In the spring of 2023, Lily, our friend's precious six-year-old daughter, was diagnosed with Stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma. From that moment on, she began the fight of her life. Over the next year, Lily endured five rounds of intensive chemotherapy, followed by two rounds of high-dose chemotherapy with tandem stem cell transplants. She underwent multiple surgeries, 12 proton beam radiation treatments, and six rounds of immunotherapy. Every treatment brought new challenges, but through it all, Lily faced each day with incredible courage and determination.
After everything she endured, Lily achieved a Curie score of 0, meaning there was no detectable disease on her scans. Her family was blessed with 21 precious months of remission—21 months filled with hope, birthdays, laughter, family memories, and the chance for Lily to simply be a little girl again. Then, during a routine surveillance scan, their world changed once more. The neuroblastoma has returned. While they are incredibly grateful that the relapse is currently limited to her bones and has not spread to her organs, Lily is now facing another long and difficult battle. She will begin another aggressive treatment plan that includes chemotherapy, additional testing, and specialized treatments at leading pediatric cancer centers.
The road ahead will be physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming. Frequent travel, extended hospital stays, lodging, meals, lost work, and mounting medical expenses create an enormous financial burden. If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, it will help ease that burden and allow Lily's family to focus on what matters most: helping Lily fight. If you’re unable to give financially, please share Lily’s story and keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Every share, every prayer, and every act of kindness helps more than you know. Lily has already shown what true courage looks like. She has fought this disease once before with unbelievable strength, and she is ready to fight again. Hope is stronger when it’s shared, and Lily’s family is deeply grateful to everyone who stands beside them during this journey. From the bottom of their hearts, thank you for your love, your prayers, your generosity, and your support.
