Many of you have gotten to know Lily over the last 8 and 1/2 years. Some of you have gotten to know her over the last few years. Some of you have just gotten to know her this year. Whether you know her professionally or personally doesn't make a difference to us! We appreciate all of you just the same!

As many are aware Lily has been struggling with some physical issues over the last month or two. We've spent thousands of dollars getting consultations and x-rays and so on.

We finally found some answers today. Sadly those answers were enough to make my heart and stomach drop right out of my body.

When they did x-rays of Lily's left front leg, they found that her leg bones were all but deteriorated. We are getting a consult and a biopsy to confirm what they already are 99% certain it is.

Lily has been all but diagnosed with bone cancer. The only good news we've gotten is that when they examined the x-rays of her chest cavity, they found nothing has spread. They were able to all but definitively say it looks like there is none spreading past her leg currently.

Anyone that knows us knows that both of us do what we do because we love the community we serve! Lily has touched more lives than I could have ever hoped for in her life. She's always been a very very very giving K-9 partner. She's never asked for anything in return and neither have I.

In the coming days we will have the consult to start the journey forward. It will be a very expensive journey and in all likelihood, best case scenario her leg will require amputation and she will have to go through chemotherapy.

With all that being said, in the coming months we would really appreciate as much support and love as you guys can offer! We are setting up this GoFundMe to assist with the cost of Lily's treatments.

If you feel it in your hearts please assist any way that you can! I'm sure Lily would love to get back to visiting with many of you as soon as she's physically able. We are infinitely grateful for all of the love and support!
