My daughter Lilu was diagnosed last month with meduloblastoma - a type of brain cancer. She had (successful!) surgery to remove the tumour, but still needs months of further treatment and care. The best treatment for this type of cancer is only available in Florida (proton radiation treatment). It’s so new, that there is nowhere in Canada to receive it.

Thankfully, the government of Ontario is going to pay for the actual cost of treatment, but we need to cover our travel expenses and the cost of a hotel while in Florida.... not to mention my husband’s lost wages while staying with her, while I remain in Ontario with our other four kids.

She needs to leave this weekend, and they’ll be gone for 2 months - not giving us much time to get our ducks in a row.

We’re humbly asking for any help with the cost of this treatment, as her doctors believe that this is the absolute best option for her to make a full and complete recovery, and live a normal life.
