I cannot believe I am typing this, especially after our Hershey bear just recovered from pancreatitis. Today, Lilo took a fall and fractured her humerus. She’s in a lot of pain but stable at the pet ER. We are transferring her tomorrow AM to UPenn to see a surgical specialist. Given her severe elbow dysplasia, she is in a very tough spot in terms of mobility. We want to give her a fighting chance, so that’s why we are doing all we can and consulting with UPenn. We will keep you posted. As you can imagine, this is a lot on our family. Lilo is like a baby to us. We love her beyond words. Please help us if you’re able to. She turns 9 in May. She is too young to leave this world just yet. We want her to have more quality time with our family.
