Lilo is our sweet rescue bully who joined our family just three months ago, and he’s quickly become the heart of our home. After living on the streets, Lilo now spends his days surrounded by love, cuddling with his kitty sister Frankie, tolerating his grumpy little sister Pixie, and keeping a watchful eye on his two moms. He’s a gentle, goofy boy who loves his toys, snacks, and curling up in our king-size bed with his head on a pillow. Lilo’s protective nature and affectionate spirit have filled a space in our family we didn’t know was missing.
When we adopted Lilo, we learned he has an enlarged heart and needs daily medication. Recently, his face began to swell and he stopped eating, which led to several emergency vet visits. After a misdiagnosis and rounds of antibiotics, we discovered the real cause: a severe tooth infection. Lilo now needs two canine teeth extracted, but his heart condition makes the procedure much riskier and more expensive. Before surgery, he’ll need bloodwork, X-rays, and a full cardiac workup to ensure he’s stable enough for anesthesia. The antibiotics are hard on his kidneys, and his face has started swelling again, making it urgent to get him the care he needs as soon as possible.
We’re hoping to schedule Lilo’s dental surgery for October 1st, with all the necessary tests a week prior. Every day we wait puts him at greater risk, and we want nothing more than to see him healthy and pain-free. Any support will go directly toward his medical bills, helping us give Lilo the safe, happy life he deserves after everything he’s been through.
