I’m Lilly’s owner and her best buddy.

Lilly is an amazing 4-year-old tuxedo cat who absolutely loves to explore and observe everything around her. Unfortunately, her curiosity led to a heartbreaking accident last week — the kind of nightmare no cat parent ever wants to experience.

She slipped through the door and jumped out of a window, which resulted in a fractured tarsal bone.

At first, the outlook was devastating — I was told amputation might be the only option. But then I found out that surgery can fix it. I was so relieved — until I learned the cost. The surgery could cost up to £10,000 because the fracture is in a very complicated location.

Sadly, her insurance won’t cover it. I recently changed her policy, and the injury happened during the waiting period — the worst possible timing.

She needs surgery now, and it breaks my heart that I can’t afford it. I’ve used up all my savings this year due to personal health issues.

I can’t bear the thought of her losing her leg just because I don’t have enough savings. Lilly is the kind of cat who would truly suffer from losing her back leg — she lives to run, explore, and zoom around the house chasing her laser pointer.

It’s with a heavy heart that I’ve created a GoFundMe page for her. I just want to save her leg — to see her drift through the house again, full of joy.
