On October 18, 2025, my mom and I rescued a tiny, helpless kitten who had been abandoned and thrown out of a car left to fend for herself. My mom works as an aide, and the people she cares for live in a home surrounded by cats. Their neighbor, who often helps care for the animals, saw a car pull up, toss a kitten onto the street, and drive away without a second thought.

 When we arrived, we heard the faint cries of that little baby. She was cold, dirty, weak, and so scared. Her eyes were filled with fear and sadness — it broke our hearts. We gently picked her up, wrapped her in a warm blanket. We named her Lilly C., and despite everything she’s endured, she’s shown nothing but love and courage. Even when she’s tired and hurting, she still purrs in our arms and tries to play. She’s truly a fighter — and she’s fighting to live.

 Sadly, Lilly is very sick right now. The vet told us she has an infection in her lungs and that needs urgent treatment, along with vaccines and medications to help her heal.

 We’re doing everything we can, but the cost of her care is more than we can afford on our own. We’re asking for help to give Lilly the medical treatment she needs to survive and grow into the happy, healthy kitten she deserves to be.
