Help Lillie Heal: Support Her Recovery Journey

Donation protected

I am the aunt of Lillie, or as I call her, Lil Bell. Lillie was out on Saturday the 19th, which turned into Sunday (Easter) on 4/20. Lillie was almost fatally injured by her ex-boyfriend, who shot Lillie 15 times, resulting in 30 wounds (entrance and exit). A hero saved her life as the shooter was standing over her, getting ready to continue shooting, and he absolutely saved her. The shooter broke both of Lillie's arms and legs and shot her through the torso. He is currently in jail with no bail. Lillie has had several emergency surgeries. She had to have a metal rod put in her hip, emergency surgery for the bullets that shattered her arm, and today there is discussion of trying to retrieve the bullet in her shoulder (there are many bullets and fragments still in her beautiful body). Lillie is starting to exhibit major anxiety and panic. Lillie was so brave when first arriving at the hospital. She refused to have any surgery until she spoke to the detective to give her statement and identify who did this to her. My sister (Lillie's mom) is having to stay there 24 hours per day due to Lillie being scared to be left alone. We are in need of funds to help Lillie for the very long road she has ahead, and to help pay for lodging expenses for my sister. The shooting happened in Savannah, Georgia, which is almost 8 hours from where Kara (mom) lives. Lillie was on a quick staycation to visit Tybee Island with 2 friends. A naval officer was shot trying to also help save Lillie. The hero that actually saved Lillie (was also former military) heard her screams and the first gunshot. He opened his curtain at the hotel and started banging on the window, hoping to scare the shooter away. When he saw this wasn't helping, he ran all the way around the building to bumrush the guy, who was able to get away but ran directly into the arms of a police officer. The shooter tried to fight the police and even tried to play the victim, saying he was the one shot. Lillie is fighting and fighting hard. She has started running a fever, and we definitely pray no infection starts. I will be honest, the anger and rage my family and I felt was immediate, but we all have come to realize that our focus is on Lillie, her health, her mental recovery, and physical recovery, and anger only dims the miracle that happened that morning.

Lillie makes an impact on every person she encounters and has a glowing soul. Even the evil shooter was not able to dim her glow. We are truly believers in Jesus, and there is nothing that can be said other than her still being alive is a total miracle that Jesus gave all of us on Easter morning. Jesus is real, and he lives. Please, anything you can donate, even $1, will help her. She will be the beneficiary of this donation fundraiser, and all proceeds will go directly into her account. The doctors have prepared us for a very long journey. Please help our Lil Bell. I will attach some media info about the story also. We also were just informed there was a total of 36 bullet entrance/exit wounds.
