Help Lilith Live With Cancer

I have classic Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

For what it's worth, I've got it easy: my medical bills are covered, my treatment regimen is clear-cut, and I've got a great chance of beating this forever once I'm done.

However, it doesn't change the fact that I'm a poor 20-something who lives independently - and has suddenly found themselves unable to earn income.

I need help covering living expenses for the next six months while I go through chemotherapy and all the fun, yucky things it entails. While my partner - my love and sunshine, Louis - does have a graduate student stipend, it's not enough to cover all the essentials we need to live comfortably while I receive treatment. With $400 a month for six months ($2400 total), we can easily manage our finances and make sure that there's no need to squeeze on things like food or gas.  This will relieve an unbelievable burden on my partner and my family, who all wish with their entire hearts they had the money to give. We need the first $400 immediately, but if you wish to wait on a donation, the rest of the $1800 can come over the following months.

That's not to say money is the only way you can help! While I welcome each and every donation, those who are local offering their time and assistance to run errands, take me to doctor's appointments, or just spend time with me on my worst and best days means the world. If GoFundMe isn't your thing, I am willing to disclose my address via personal message for grocery cards (Giant Eagle) or gas cards (also Giant Eagle/GetGo). If you have no money, and aren't local, I am also happy to receive any sympathy or prayer cards you wish to send.

I am searching out other methods of financial assistance and will update this accordingly if something is to drastically change. While I love the power of community and crowdfunding, it is my desire first and foremost to try to petition my existing resources than to take money from friends. However, if we are to exceed the goal, I can promise that all the money will be used responsibly and for my basic well-being only. Your trust in me is an invaluable treasure - I'm not going to throw it away.
