Help Lilith Get the Medical Care She Needs

Hi friends!

I am reaching out to my community in a time of need. My best friend Lilith has been losing weight, having chronic gastrointestinal issues, and showing signs of a potentially serious illness, and I am hoping to scrape together enough money to fund all of the testing and treatment she will need. Her symptoms point to hyperthyroidism, which at her age (10) is treatable and manageable, but examinations, bloodwork, and likely additional testing will be needed to determine that.

I unfortunately was recently laid off and am having a hell of a time balancing all my bills while navigating a truly unforgiving job market. I persist in my search for stable employment, but at this time, I am simply not able to pay for this treatment nor any pet insurance, which would likely not cover this anyway due to it (probably) being a pre-existing condition.

To be honest, I am pretty distraught about it. It sucks being in this position of seeing your best pal's health degrade and not being able to do much about it due to financial circumstances. Which is why I'm here. Something new to me that I am practicing is asking for help when I need it, and right now I do. She is the cutest damn thing and quite literally the light of my life. She has been with me through the most difficult times in my life and continues to be a constant companion in my journey of healing and personal growth. I cannot tell you how much it means to me to have my little buddy in my lap every morning while I'm having my coffee, a gentle head-butt from her to my leg when she senses my anxieties, and going to bed every night being (relentlessly) meowed at until I let her under the blankets to fall asleep as the little spoon.
