Hi everyone,

I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of someone incredibly special to our family—Liliana Oseguera, our kind, hardworking, and trusted housekeeper. Liliana has been a steady presence in our lives for years, and now, she’s facing a devastating family emergency that she cannot carry alone.

Liliana’s father, Felipe Nery Oseguera from Rio Tigre, Oaxaca, was recently injured during a camping trip. Unbeknownst to those around him, he suffered a serious head injury that he didn’t initially report. His condition quickly worsened, and he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Doctors discovered that he has two subacute subdural hematomas—serious brain bleeds—that require immediate surgery. He is currently in an induced coma in intensive care.

As you can imagine, this has been emotionally and financially overwhelming for Liliana. She is doing everything in her power to support her father from afar, but the cost of his medical care is far beyond what she can manage alone.

I believe in the power of community, and I know many of us have been touched by someone like Liliana—someone who gives so much to others and rarely asks for anything in return. Let’s come together to support her in this critical moment.

100% of the funds raised will go directly to Liliana to help cover her father’s emergency medical expenses and support her family during this unimaginably difficult time.
