Lilian Litterell is a graduate of Thomas Edison Preparatory High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There, Lilian developed a love for marching band and leadership. They were a drum major senior year of high school before they decided on pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at the University of Central Oklahoma. After the first year of marching band with UCO, Lilian was selected to be a drum major for the marching band. After this season had ended, Lilian had their sights set higher than college; they wanted to be a drum major for a professional marching band, or DCI. In early February 2025, Lilian auditioned to be a drum major of Zephyrus Drum & Bugle Corps. Not only did their audition go great, but they excelled and got a contract the same day.
If you know anything about getting a music education degree, you know that the school schedule is extremely busy and makes it very difficult to work. This is why we are seeking donations; the contract to be a drum major for Zephyrus requires $3300 paid by June 1st. Thank you for reading Lilian’s story, and we sincerely hope you donate. Anything helps.
