Help Lilette Smith Reaves recover from stroke
Donation protected
Lilette Smith-Reaves lives in Green Valley with her husband Joe Reaves. She’s a schoolteacher, owner of the Lil’ Hen House egg farm, and is the primary caretaker for her elderly parents.
On Aug. 19 2023, Lilette had a worsening headache. As her husband started the car to take her to the Emergency Room, Lilette began to have a seizure. Joe's quick actions kept her from choking.
She was first diagnosed with an aneurysm, but doctors soon discovered she'd had a stroke. After a week in Intensive Care, she's in rehabilitation re-learning how to walk, talk and use her left side.
Joe, an accredited dog trainer, has had his own medical issues, but between taking care of Lilette and her parents during her recovery, neither will be able to work in the short term.
They've also been hit with some big co-pays up-front and owe money to two hospitals. Your donation will help them afford basic necessities and start paying off medical bills while Lilette recovers.
