Hi, My name is Kim and a few days before New years eve our best friends James and Kody were faced with every parents nightmare.
They were away camping with there daughters Lilah 4yrs and Lainey 1yr old, spending time with family, getting ready to celebrate the New year when Lilah woke with really high temperatures and vomiting. James ( her father) and Kody ( her step mum) took her to the Scone Hospital were they then transported Lilah to John Hunter hospital, they did test and found that Lilah had double phenomena and that they suspect that Lilah also has Leukemia and that she will undergo test the following morning.
Lilah was diagnosed that afternoon with Leukemia, she was placed in an induced coma as her little lungs were so inflamed and chemotherapy started straight away. Lilah spent a week in a coma.
The first 48 hours were very critical for Lilah, having the double phenomena and undergoing chemo, she is now awake, her phenomena is better but is still very sick and has a very long journey ahead of her with many more chemo sessions to have.
James and Tori ( Lilah's mum) having been spending day and night at the hospitals s due to covid restrictions Kody and Lilah's other loved ones are unable to see her.
Because of all of this James has had to quit his job as a fisherman as he is unable to be away from his baby girl. All of this has put a massive financial strain on this beautiful young family. So I've set up this pages to help out my closest and dearest friends through this very stressful and emotional time.
Lilah who is 4, turning 5 next month and was to start kindergarten this year is one of the most beautiful, kindest, funny, bravest, generous 4yr old's, who loves her family, playing with her little sister and her dogs, she has showed nothing but strength, courage, resilience and has still manage to crack jokes and keep a sense of humor though all of this.
So if you can plz donate to this amazing young family, every little cent will help will be greatly appreciated and go to helping Lilah and her family on the journey to her recovery.
