My sweetest girl, Lila, is having a tough go. While trying to do everything in my power to help her fight mitral valve disease, we discovered by chance that she also has cancer... What was supposed to be a routine stomach ultrasound in preparation for scheduling her heart surgery, the doctor's discovered two spots on Lila's spleen. We were initially told that the spots appeared to be benign and all signs pointed to is being hyperplasia.

Not being completely sure about the spots was too stressful for me so we decided to go see a specialist just to be sure. Her specialist was also convinced that they were also benign but decided to go ahead and have the more irregular shaped spot aspirated. After her findings she decided that we should have the cytology sent off to Colorado to have a PARR test performed. So we sent them off, and spent the next 11 days waiting and worrying. Yesterday we received a call from her specialist who explained that Lila has a rare form of lymphoma type B, on her spleen. We won't know more about the lymphoma or where it's located until after her spleen is removed and able to be biopsied. Lila does have pet insurance but it only covers part of the cost. Between her cardiology appointments, the upcoming spleen removal, and starting with an oncologist, the costs are stacking up quickly. A lovely individual suggested I start a go fund me so here I am. Lila is the absolute love of my life and I will go to the ends of the Earth to keep fighting for her health. Any help would be greatly appreciated by both of us ♥️
