Help Lift The Weight for AMI Health & Fitness

Hi, my name is Jen and I am the owner of AMI Health & Fitness, located in beautiful Anna Maria Island, Florida. AMI Health & Fitness proud to be a locally owned and operated, “old school” island gym that is frequented from people all over the world and has many local members that call it their home gym.

For those of you that have never been there, many people will attest that it’s one of the most unique gyms around. Not just a gym, AMI Health & Fitness is a community of the best members, local and visiting, and we have built a gym family like nowhere else.

On September 26th, 2024 Hurricane Helene changed AMI Health & Fitness forever. Helene brought nearly 2 feet of storm surge into the gym that destroyed equipment, supplies and required necessary removal of floors, walls and doors.

As our clean up was taking place, we were faced with another monster storm, Hurricane Milton. We prepared and prayed. All of our clean up efforts were brought to a complete stop for several days.

Thankfully, we did not suffer any additional damage with Hurricane Milton, and our clean up efforts are in full force once again. We have been working tirelessly to pick up the pieces and rebuild our beloved gym.

Our Island will take time to rebuild and our community has been through so much. We feel an urgency to reopen, so we can be there for our community when they need it the most.
