Where's The Food has been one of Fresno's premier food trucks since 2015. Instead of celebrating their 10-year anniversary this year, owners Lida Nguyen and Henry Wickman have been quietly fighting one of life’s worst battles — cancer.
Lida is nearing the end of her life after bravely fighting cancer since 2023. Her husband Henry has been at her side the entire time, balancing her doctor’s appointments out of town, emergency room stints, running the food truck and managing their family. They have three daughters.
I’m Mike Osegueda from Fresno Street Eats. I’ve known Henry and Lida since the beginning of their food truck journey and today I’m asking for the larger community to help them when they need it most.
Doctors say Lida doesn’t have much longer to live, but she’s still fighting her terminal diagnosis. Henry wants to give his beloved wife and partner of 27 years a nice burial while giving his family a little cushion to sustain itself while dealing with this difficult time.
Unfortunately, being an entrepreneur doesn’t come with contingencies when things like this happen. It’s why any help from the community around them would make this terrible situation just a little bit easier.
Thank you on behalf of Henry, Lida and Where’s The Food.
