I am writing this with a very heavy heart to ask for help for my kitty, Licorice. Up until last week, she was her usual self, but things changed almost overnight. It started with her stumbling and losing interest in her food. In the last few days, her health has deteriorated rapidly. She has now lost the ability to move on her own, and we are currently hand-feeding her liquid food through a tube just to keep her going. She is struggling to stay still enough to drink water and can no longer use her litter box. It is devastating to see her in this state, and we desperately want to do right by her.

Right now, the goal is to get her to a vet for a full assessment. Because her decline has been so fast and severe, we need professional help to understand if there is a path to recovery or if the most stable, kindest thing we can do is say goodbye. The funds will go directly toward emergency exam and diagnostic tests to find out what is causing her paralysis and loss of appetite, supportive care and potential treatment if her condition is manageable, and end-of-life care (euthanasia), if the vet determines that she is suffering and cannot recover, so she can pass peacefully and painlessly.
