Help Liberty High School Get A Prom and Class Trip
Donation protected
Hello everyone, I’m fundraising for my school’s senior prom and class trip. Due to COVID restrictions we know that many people were not able to have a prom in 2020-2021 but the class of 2022 would like to seize the opportunity to have a prom while we can. Our school is very small with only a 53 graduating class so it has been very hard to fundraise, especially because we were virtual for almost 2 years, which only gave us our freshman year and beginning of senior year to raise any money on our own. So while prom has been approved it has been very costly, due to the fact that many venues have raised their prices since being out of business , and we would greatly appreciate your help to cover some of the remaining costs.
On another note we are also working on fundraising for a senior class trip to the Poconos. There has recently been a shortage of bus drivers and we would like some help to afford the bus trip due to covid restrictions raising the prices.
Throughout all our years the class of 2022 has had to adapt. Our freshman year we had to adapt to coming a new school and being the odd ones out. Our Sophomore year was basically cut in half and we had to adapt to going from an in person learning environment to a virtual asynchronous learning environment. Our junior year was all virtual and we adapt to learning in our own homes for a whole school year which took a huge toll on us mentally. And finally our senior year we had to adapt to getting back into an in person learning environment and fundraising for our class with very little time. We have had multiple bake sales and games-of-chance and while they do good they just aren’t enough. Throughout the tough times of COVID we have persevered a lot and have made many great accomplishments. Our seniors so far have had a 100% acceptance rate into colleges, scored higher on the SAT than the Hudson County average, and have donated from their own pockets to thanksgiving food drives as well as Christmas toy drives for kids in need. The seniors in the national honor society is also giving to luv Michael where they give opportunities and jobs to autistic adults.
All in all We would just like an opportunity to celebrate all the things we were able to overcome. The class of 2022 has persevered many things and has been very resilient. We hope you give great consideration and donate to our fund. Thank yo
