Help Liberty get the smile she has hoped for!

As a mother, the day your baby is born is the most amazing day of your life. While that day was amazing, it was super scary at the same time. Liberty was born with facial palsy, we were not sure what had caused it and didn't know what to expect. We were told that it could either be because I fell down the stairs two days before she was born or something else had caused the nerve damage but there was nothing else that we can do about it until she was 13. Shock therapy was the only option and it was super painful with no guarantee that it would work. We decided to let her make that decision.

Fast Forward to Middle School, hormones, anonymous messages and teenagers had finally started to weigh heavy on Liberty. She was called half-melt face, slit mouth, and sent the song crooked grill and told that it reminded them of her. And it was all done Anonymously! Teenagers are so cruel! Prior to this, she was happy just the way she was.

This led to lots of doctors and research. We were told that they could go in and recharge the nerves. However, Covid delayed the actual surgery for over a year. Once they finally got to do the surgery it wasn't the news that we had expected. When she woke up, I had to tell her that not only was the surgery unsuccessful but she had no nerves or muscles in the right side of her face at all and there was nothing else they could do. She was super optimistic and saw changes that I couldn't see. I was so proud of her optimism and the support that she received.

However, we didn't give up hope. I even offered to have them take the nerves from my face and put them in hers! I was so tired of her suffering and was not will to take no for an answer.

Shortly after the surgery Liberty received this message:

"Hey Dumb S**t You don't know who this is but what the F**k is wrong with your mouth? Is it all F**ked up and all crooked like can't you fix it? It's distracting. You aren't even pretty at all and you are so rude to everyone, you have no point in life and nobody wants you here, you have no reason to be here. I don't even know how you get friends with that messed up mouth.

With that being said, Liberty's Mental Health took a huge tumble. She was a mess and momma was pissed. We went through everything to find out who it was. We have leads and lots of people working on it but as of now, nothing is confirmed as they were not big enough to show who they were and hid behind an anonymous app.

However, we were given a huge opportunity. There is a plastic surgeon is Beverly Hills that specializes in this sort of thing and has taken Liberty on as a patient. We are super confident that he can give her the smile she has longed for. However, Insurance will not cover the procedure as he is not contracted with Insurance companies so we are doing everything we can to insure that Liberty can still get this surgery. Please help us help Liberty AND support a cause that hits super close to home for us and lots of others in our community.
