Help Libby Recover After Being Carjacked
Donation protected
Yesterday (3/18/2021) a group of 6-8 men in two vehicles pulled up beside my good friend and law school classmate, Libby. She was about to get in her car and drive home from her part-time job as a nanny in the Hamline Midway neighborhood of St. Paul. The men made Libby give them her keys and phone and drove off in her car. Her laptop and wallet was in her car.
Libby, like me, is in her last semester of law school. She needs a laptop to complete her classes, and to study for and take the bar exam. And, like the rest of the us, she needs a cell phone. I believe $3,000 is enough for a new laptop and new phone.
I wanted to drop out of law school after the first semester of my first year. Libby would not let me give up. She constantly encouraged me and helped me navigate the new and confusing world of law school that came very naturally to her. I would not be where I am today if it was not for her continued support.
While an insurance claim may help her replace her vehicle, it is unlikely that she will be able to recover a new laptop and phone. She needs a laptop for school NOW. Please chip in and help me help this kind person that went through an extremely frightening situation yesterday.
