15-year-old Liat Shademan has been my daughter’s best friend and my riding student since they were in elementary school together. She is absolutely a remarkable, kind, and wonderful young lady.
Recently, her mother, Julie, has been battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Although funds were very tight, the family managed to pay expenses on a wonderful pony and feed lease her for Liat. She has known that the pony has to either be sold or leased for the year and that there was a chance that she could lose her. Saturday night, Liat’s mother lost her battle . Now, with her mother gone, she will need her pony more than ever, to help her heal.
I am able to donate training and care for the pony, but I will need to pay expenses and a lease fee to make sure she can have her for the year. I know Julie would be so grateful to be able to keep Liat riding. And if it’s one thing I know, horses are the most healing animals. Please help if you can, and keep Liat and her family in your thoughts! Thank you so much.
