Help Lia's Family in Their Time of Need
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Anthony Yoo and I am starting a fundraiser on behalf of my mother-in-law who has been diagnosed with cancer for the second time. She had to battle breast cancer in 2023 and underwent chemotherapy and a mastectomy in hopes of beating this debilitating disease.
At the beginning of 2025, she suddenly fell ill again, unable to walk or eat properly due to body pain. She was rushed to the Northside Hospital ER when she couldn't bear her pain and was held there for 3 days. My wife, Lia, went to visit her mother in the ER and Lia came back to me weeping, "Stage 4 bone cancer with 9 months to live".
My mother-in-law had broken her L1 - L4 vertebrae and doctors advised against chemotherapy due to her body being weak from the chemo received for her first cancer diagnosis. One doctor said she could pass away from going through chemo again. I went to visit my mother-in-law shortly after she was discharged and upon making eye contact, we shared tears knowing we didn't have much time left to share.
I shared with her that God performs miracles and prayed, "God, do the things only you can do".
A few days later, Lia's parents went to another physician to seek additional opinions and he told them that chemo was an option and her vertebrae were not broken. To me, this was not a misdiagnosis from Northside Hospital, but a "God is good" moment.
Currently, my mother-in-law is undergoing chemotherapy once again and feeling extremely unwell. Her husband is by her side day and night, so with day-to-day expenses and medical bills stacking up, financial assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Please consider donating to help my wife's family and if you are unable to, please keep my wife and her family in your prayers.
