On March 28th, 2022, my sister, Lianne Giglio, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a cancer of the bone(s). The Osteosarcoma began in her left leg and has since spread to her left sinus. Since the diagnosis, Lianne has been amazingly strong and brave and is determined to fight hard.

As of right now, Lianne's treatment will include two stages of treatment. Over the next 10 weeks, Lianne will be in and out of the hospital almost weekly, receiving various types of multiday chemotherapy to stop cancer from spreading and shrink the current tumors in her left leg and left sinus. After she finishes the first ten weeks of treatment, she will undergo surgery to amputate her left leg and likely another surgery to remove the tumor from her left sinus. Unfortunately, the damage done to her left leg has been extensive; therefore, doctors feel that amputation is the best chance to give Lianne back the active lifestyle she had before her diagnosis. After surgery, Lianne will repeat another ten weeks of chemotherapy to ensure that they kill any remaining cancer cells.

We all know Lianne is one tough cookie, and we know she will fight HARD, but this will be her toughest battle yet.

Lianne will need to fight through chemotherapy treatments (which we all know is difficult enough as is), but she will also have to undergo multiple surgeries and learn to live her life with a prosthetic limb. But, if anyone can rise to the challenge, Lianne can!

Since making her diagnosis public, many of you have already reached out to ask how you can help. My family is strong and not one to ask for help; however, if there is ever a time to accept help - it's now! We recognize that Lianne's treatment plan and hospital stays will make it difficult for her to work; therefore, we hope to raise money to assist her with living expenses and medical bills.

The love we have for Lianne is undeniable, and we will do everything we can to give her the best chance of beating this and living a long, healthy, fulfilling life.
