Liam Sue Raether was with us for far too short a time. In 12 brief years, he changed the lives of everyone he touched. He never hesitated to express himself, even when it challenged others, and he was not soon forgotten by those who had the good fortune to know him. He was playful and kind. His emotions and intellect ran as deep as an ocean, mysterious and dark, while his love for his family was as bright as the sun. He loved music, his little brother, his cats, and his friends. He gave without thinking, even when he had nothing but himself to give, never expecting his generosity to be repaid.

His passing left scars that will never fully heal, but it also has more worldly costs. A donor who wishes to remain anonymous has offered to cover his funeral expenses. Liam’s family is burdened with other costs, however, including significant medical bills representing their efforts to fight the darkness that eventually took his life. Seeking this treatment was also time-intensive and it exhausted PTO budgets. By donating to this Go-Fund-Me, you will alleviate the burden of those medical bills, help cover other ancillary expenses, and allow Liam’s family time to heal and reach something approaching normalcy before returning to work.

Any amounts received in excess of the goal will be donated to Transforming Families and the Trevor Project.
