Help Liam Move to Italy for Safety and Education
Hi! My name's Liam. I'm a veteran and a trans man trying to move to Italy because I no longer feel safe here in the US. I'll be staying there with my boyfriend, as well as trying to go to school in Italy for an art-related degree and at the very least go to a trade school so I can find work there. However, the cost of moving, tuition, living, and traveling there is a lot pricier than what I'm able to afford on the fixed income I get as a disabled veteran. I've been trying to save in any way I can: moving back in with my parents, selling everything that doesn't fit in a suitcase at garage sales, making and selling my art and jewelry (I'll link my BlueSky that has some of it), even donating plasma when I'm able. I'm doing everything I possibly can to be more frugal than I already am so I can save up.
But even after all that, it would take much longer to save enough to be able to afford the cost of my flights there, expenses of moving what few things I plan to keep with me, getting myself established once there with my boyfriend, tuition for schooling, and everything else in between. And at the rate this administration is going with everything, time is something I'm afraid I don't have a lot of.
All I'm asking is for a little help. Anything helps; if that's a dollar, then that gets me a dollar closer to my goal. I do ask that you share this with anyone you can to help get the word out there to anyone willing to lend any assistance. I'm also selling the art and jewelry that I make (see the linked BlueSky where I post some of it), so if you'd like to purchase anything I make, the funds from those sales also go towards this.
