Help Liam Leap to NYU Tisch!

I have been so blessed to have had so many amazing experiences in my life. I am just so incredibly grateful to be offered another life changing opportunity. I have been selected to attend the TISCH SUMMER HIGH SCHOOL DANCE PROGRAM…but I need your help to make this happen. This is a summer program at New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Tisch is a prestigious performing arts school and my #1 dream school for undergraduate studies.

This is an opportunity that I do not take lightly. I am very serious about my commitment and intend to work hard in all aspects.
Tisch receives over 800 applicants for their summer program and accept a very limited number. I am one out of approximately 24 students to be accepted. I consider this an astounding honor and privilege!

Below is a statement from their website regarding the program.
"This residential program is not a leisure summer camp; it is a commitment of four weeks on campus that encompasses a highly structured class schedule, which include projects, professional training, and collaboration. The Tisch Summer High School Program is tuition-based and culminates in four to six college credits (units)."

My hopes, dreams, and aspirations for the future include going to university, working and living in NYC! This would be an amazing opportunity for me to experience/live my dream future this summer. I am doing everything I can possibly do, both academically and artistically, to make my dreams come true. A little
bit about me, I am in all-honors classes, have straight high As, a 4.5 GPA, and I am incredibly honored to be ranked #1 in my class at Burlington County Institute of Technology, in their Academy of Performing Arts. I am also very involved in my school, Vice President of both the Class of 2024 and the GSA, a council member of the BSU, on Student Council, Yearbook, Interact (Community Service), Good Vibes Ambassador Club, Building Men, and I am involved in many of the shows at BCIT, including our spring musical, Pippin, where I will be playing Lewis, and understudying Pippin. I have been also selected to represent BCIT at the Hugh O’Bryan Leadership Council, this June, at Kean University. If you have known me, you will know that I have been a natural born leader my entire life. I am incredibly interested in pursuing this program because I want to take my dance career to the next level and be a leader in dance arts. This course is so fascinating, in my opinion, because of the focus on pedagogy, dance technology, and dance science. I believe this opportunity would take my art to the next level, and it would (not to be too cheesy) kick-ball-change my life!

To make my dreams come true I am humbly hoping for some financial assistance from anyone willing/able to help. This incredible opportunity (college credits, room, and board) is $14,000. I am asking for $9,498 as that is the exact cost of the tuition, but I would be absolutely grateful for anything I receive. This is a big expense, but unexplainably beyond well worth it. That being said, unfortunately I did not qualify for financial assistance from the school and can not take a student loan for this experience. My parents are willing to pay everything they possibly can, in fact they have already paid the $2000 non refundable deposit.

I am asking you my "village" to come together and help me make my dreams come true. Like Billy Elliot, I need my community to pull together for me. If you believe in me and have anything that you can donate to help me get there, I will be truly grateful and I promise to always do my best and make you proud!

With sincere and heartfelt gratitude,
Liam Redford
