Hi everyone,
My name is Maurilenni, and I’m a mom fighting for my son’s life every single day.
My baby boy, Liam, was born extremely early at just 24 weeks on September 15, 2025. He weighed only 1 pound 10 ounces — so tiny, yet so strong. From the very beginning, Liam has been a fighter.
His journey hasn’t been easy. He suffered a brain bleed that led to hydrocephalus, requiring brain surgery and a VP shunt. He also had a PDA, which thankfully closed with medication. But the biggest battle we continue to face is his severe lung disease.
Liam has bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), which makes breathing very hard for him. After spending months in the NICU, we finally brought him home — only to be readmitted again after getting very sick with a virus. Since then, he has been in the PICU, needing breathing support like BiPAP just to help him breathe.
There have been terrifying moments no parent should ever experience… including a code event where my baby stopped breathing and needed help to come back to us. Watching that happen broke me in ways I can’t explain.
But Liam is still here. Still fighting. Still smiling through it all.
Today, he is 7 months old (3 months corrected), and despite everything, he continues to show us what strength really looks like.
As a mother, I want to give him everything he needs to survive and thrive — but this journey has taken a huge emotional and financial toll on our family. Between hospital stays, medical equipment, travel, and time away from work, it has become overwhelming.
That’s why I’m asking for help.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward:
• Medical expenses
• Travel and hospital-related costs
• Equipment and care Liam needs at home
• Supporting our family during this ongoing fight
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing Liam’s story. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean more than words can express.
Thank you for helping my baby keep fighting
With love,
Liam’s Mom
