Help Liam get Vision Therapy

Hi, My name is Megan, and I am asking everyone who can please help me raise enough to pay for my son's Vision Therapy. My son Liam is a bright 9 year old who loves school, reading, and as you can see football. Over the last 2 years his reading comprehension and academic performance have dropped significantly. We thought it was a learning disability or dyslexia but after seeing specialist we found Liam has 3 types of vision disorders, they are Convergence Insufficiency, Accommodation disorder, and Ocular Motor Dysfunction. Basically when Liam tries to read anything or complete tasks that require hand-eye coordination his muscles in his eyes do not move appropriately and cause his vision to be blurred, loss of depth perception, headaches and confusion. These symptoms have caused Liam to lose confidence in himself and his intelligence. As a mom its hard to watch your child struggle to do something that once brought so much joy into their lives. To watch your child cry and think that they are stupid because they cant see the words on a page correctly. Liam's Ophthalmologist has prescribed glasses, and 5 Phases of Vision Therapy, plus additional testing, and home equipment to continue his vision therapy. Each phase of therapy costs $1,800, the additional testing costs $350, and the home equipment costs $300. In total the Vision Therapy will costs $9,650 and none of it is covered by our health insurance.

I work as a Title Agent, Liam's father works in retail. We take every cent we make to cover household bills and often are left with nothing to build a savings for Medical Emergencies or anything else. We don't live beyond our means and any money we have left is spent on our children (school clothes, field trips, etc.) Our son's health and happiness are extremely important to us and we would do anything to give him the best. Without this therapy, Liam will not be able to read or preform daily tasks that require hand-eye coordination and will certainly not be able to play football anymore which he greatly enjoys. We've applied for grants, but the income guidelines are so strict we don't meet them and have been denied.

Any funds received will be remitted directly to the Walsby Vision Center which is the office Liam sees his Ophthalmologist, where he will see a vision therapist and receive vision therapy. Thank you all in advance.
