Help Liam Get His Lifesaving Service Dog

Hi! My name is Cher and I am fundraising for my 12 year old son, Liam.

Liam has a very rare syndrome called Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome (WHS).

Because of his syndrome, Liam has global developmental delays, epilepsy, and is a non verbal, facial expression communicator. He requires one on one help with all activities of daily living and requires constant supervision.

On Monday, June 17th 2024, the day started like any other day, was getting ready for school and Liam suddenly fell backwards from his seated position on the floor. I ran over immediately, startled to see that and not knowing what was wrong. I dropped the the floor saying what's wrong Li? And realized he was having a seizure, his lips were blue and he was gasping. This was not his usual type of seizure and it was so shocking and out of the blue. It lasted for just over 5 minutes and I had to call 911.

Thankfully Liam is okay today, but the anxiety this has left for not just myself but Liam's younger sister Emma who witnessed the seizure, is really difficult.

I am trying to raise funds to get Liam a service animal who could be trained to not only help alert to on coming seizures but who could also be a friend, and support to Liam (and Emma, this would provide some peace of mind to her as well)
