Help Liam Raise the Philippine Flag in New York City
After garnering a score of 90.00, Liam clinched the Silver Award and secured Top 1 (Philippine Ranking) and Top 7 (Worldwide Ranking) in the Preliminary Round II of the Copernicus Mathematics Olympiad (Category 3) held on February 22, 2025.
This score qualifies Liam to be part of the Philippine Team for the Global Round of the competition on July 26-31, 2025 at Columbia University, New York City, USA.
Copernicus Olympiad is a prestigious international competition open to Grade 3 to Grade 12 students.
To be able to proceed to the Global Round, Liam needs US$ 2,050 for the registration fee, in addition to the roundtrip airfare of approximately US$ 1,403. Thus, the total amount that he needs reaches US$ 3,453.
Being qualified in an international olympiad is a rare opportunity, and this opportunity is significant to Liam’s academic journey. We hope that the lack of local funding will not hold him back from this great opportunity.
Moreover, the chance to raise the Philippine flag on the international stage is a great opportunity to boost the confidence of his fellow students amidst the educational crisis faced by the country.
Liam is a Grade 8 student at the Philippine Science High School–Central Luzon Campus. He has won a Gold Medal in the Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad in 2024 and a Silver Medal in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Mathematical Olympiad in 2024 on top of other awards he has achieved.
Every dollar that you donate helps him get one step closer to reaching his dreams.
Thank you for believing in him.
