Liam is a 4 month old little boy who was just diagnosed with a rare disorder called Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome (WAS). This is a disease that causes Liam to have an abnormal immune system and abnormal platelets (the cells that help us form blood clots). Liam will have to have a bone marrow transplant in the near future for a chance at a cure. He has already had to have several platelet transfusions to keep his platelet count up while he is waiting for his transplant. Liam also can't fight infections normally with his current immune system, an especially scary problem to have during the pandemic. 

Liam has the most amazing parents (Lee and McKenzie), and they are very appreciative of any help and support from their friends and family during this time. They will have to temporarily move to Nashville during this long process as Liam will be in the hospital for months receiving chemo and his bone marrow transplant. This money will be used to help this new family with medical bills and relocating as they have to leave their home in Chattanooga to be with Liam.

6/23/2020 Update
We have found a match for Liam! He will be undergoing his bone marrow transplant in July at TriStar Centennial in Nashville. Right now testing and preparation for both Liam and the donor is underway. He will be admitted on July 14th and start chemo shortly after to prep for the transplant. His actual transplant date is scheduled for July 29th. 

Liam's transplant is quickly approaching, and we continue to appreciate all the love and support from friends and family.
