Help Liam Access Life-Changing Stem Cell Therapy

Donation protected
My name is Valerie and my husband Hunter and I are the proud parents of Liam who is almost eight years old and on the autism spectrum. When Liam was around the age of two, Liam could say a few words such as dad or mama, but soon afterwards all of his verbal communication stopped. At the age of four Liam was diagnosed with severe non-verbal autism. Up to present date Liam can only attempt to say approximately five words that mainly only come out as sounds that we have to interpret to figure out the meaning. When Liam is sick, or hurt, or frustrated, it is a constant struggle to figure out what his needs are without verbal communication. Recently we discovered the Kellum Stem Cell Institute here in Tennessee that is seeing great success utilizing stem cell therapy to improve cognitive ability/behavior/focus/and communication with those on the autism spectrum. The goal of the stem cell therapy would be to reduce overall inflammation throughout the body that is believed to aggravate the symptoms of autism and promote healing of nervous system tissue. This has the potential to be a truly life changing treatment for Liam. My husband and I are not trying to change Liam. We just want to give him the best chance to be the best version of himself that he can be. The goal would be for him to ultimately be able to care for himself one day when my husband and I are no longer living. Liam has no other siblings and we are approximately thirty years older than him. The total price of this procedure is approximately $26,000, none of which was covered by insurance. This procedure would involve an initial visit of harvesting Liam's own stem cells from his fat cells, and then returning three separate times for injection/infusion, in which Liam would be placed under anesthesia each time. We know times are tight, and people all have their own struggles, but any donation you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Even if we met a portion of this goal, it would help get there eventually. No matter what, we will follow-up with a video or message on social media and let everyone know of Liam's progress once we get the procedure done.
