Hi Folks,
My name is Lia and I am asking for your help! In September 2025, I will be representing Canada at the IHAA (International Horse Archery Alliance) World Championships in Tenessee, USA. This is the first time this event has been run in North America and it will bring top level horseback archers from all over the world to compete. It’s very exciting!
It is a huge honour to be selected as one of three competitors being sent to compete on Team Canada and I am up for the challenge.
I’m looking for donations and/or sponsorships to help cover the costs associated with this competition. I really hate asking for help with anything but this competition has quite steep fees and those who know me, will know that I am rich with experiences but not necessarily money.
Any donations will go towards:
- Competition entry fees
- Horse rental fees
- Transportation to the competition
-Accommodations at the competition
Anything fundraised beyond the above costs will be used to help me become the best horse archer I can be… so shall be put towards:
- Riding lessons
- Horse Archery training
My horseback archery accomplishments so far include:
- Highest ranked Canadian female in the WFEA ranking system
- Member of Team Canada at WHAF World Championships in AlUla, Saudi Arabia 2023
- Member of Team Canada at WHAF Qualifier competition in New Mexico, USA 2024
- Competed in 4 WFEA World Cup competitions in South Africa as well as numerous competitions across Canada and the USA.
- Currently ranked #5 in the Canadian National Ranking system
- As far as I know, I am the only competitor who has travelled to compete at all 6 sanctioned North American WFEA horse archery tracks.
- I recently achieved my Yabusame Level 3 Competition License, allowing me to compete in traditional Japanese horse archery competitions in the future.
I love this sport and having the opportunity to travel to compete is such a dream come true! Any donation is greatly appreciated, and I will personally be thinking of you as I compete at the World Championships in the fall.

I actively compete in this sport internationally although I’ll be honest, I don’t currently have much of a social media presence, I would be very happy to promote products or businesses in person though!
