Hola, my name is Lucia. I’m raising money for Leyla and Jonathan. Jonathan goes to school with our daughters. He is a respectful, kind, caring, smart 10 year old boy. We often invite him to our house for playdates with Lulu and Ana. Leyla cooks at a local Thai restaurant where she is paid by the hour.

She’ve had diabetes for 10 years. Because she never felt any symptoms, she never went to the doctor for treatment for 10 years. Now her health has worsened.

-In August, Leyla had to be taken to the ER with a kidney infection that almost took her life. She spent a week in intensive care. She had to stop working for two month. She could not pay her rent of $800/month.

-In September her family got Covid 19. She was out of work for another month.

-In October she lost more hours of work due to her health and the shortage of work. She started looking for more work (cleaning houses) unsuccessfully.

-Last week her car died while on the ferry on her way to West s Seattle. The tow truck took them to a mechanic. It was the transmission. It will cost her around $3,500.

Please help me to get Leyla back oh her feet so she can continue working and caring for Jonathan.
