Lex is currently facing some very expensive, urgent repairs of her family home and is the sole income for her family. She is such a kind and generous human who truly deserves the world. Lex has given so much to this community and I hope we can rally together to give back to her now that she needs us. I will copy and paste her full story here:

“Last week I was finally ready to leave my parents’ house, looking at apartments and getting excited about independence.

This week my parents’ sewer ruptured and it took over $11,000 of my savings to make sure my family could safely live in their home and have plumbing.

My dad has one leg and is confined to a wheelchair, but the government won’t approve him for disability. My mom is a volunteer firefighter. They can’t afford this emergency and they don’t deserve it. I feel so helpless. I’m 23 years old and I can’t support a family of 7 on my own.

We are close knit :’) I’m simultaneously grateful and heartbroken—grateful that I was even able to help with repairs and heartbroken that it cost me my independence.“
