This is on behalf of Lexie's family. As you all know our special babygirl Lexie recently had a stroke and is unable to use her left side of her body. She has a long road ahead of her in recovery. A lot of physical therapy to be done and getting function back is not guaranteed. Her family had to move from their home they loved into a smaller place so that it had bathrooms accessible for Lexie who will now need to be in a wheelchair. She is unable to sit up on her own and has lost so much of her independence. She can't sit in a car anymore because there is no way to keep her from falling over and being safe. The only way for her family to be able to drive her anywhere is to buy a van that has wheelchair accessibility. These are very expensive and the family has so much on their plate with medical expenses and having to move at the drop of a dime to accommodate Lexie's needs. But that's what you do for your children!! We are asking to please share and donate what you can. The cost of a decent van is around $40k and I believe we all can help this family get what they need for Lexie <3 Lexie's life is fragile and every day she is here is a miracle.
