Just two days before our wedding, our dog Lexi ruptured her CCL (the dog equivalent of an ACL).

Our worst fear was confirmed yesterday when our vet diagnosed her and said that without surgery, her leg will never function properly again and she will live with ongoing pain and instability.

There is also a real risk that she could further injure herself, which could ultimately lead to her losing the limb altogether.

Anyone who knows Lexi knows how much she loves being active - long walks, running around at the cricket club, playing with everyone she meets and being involved in everything we do.

The surgery she urgently needs costs approximately $5,000. Having just paid for our wedding, we don’t have the savings to cover this unexpected expense.
