My longtime friend Lexi Michaud, owner of Luxury Looks by Lexi in New Port Richey, Florida, just went through something no small business owner should ever have to deal with. On January 28th, her salon—along with a few other businesses in the same center—was broken into and robbed. She walked in the next morning to an absolute nightmare. Her styling tools, color tubes, products, retail, and so much more were stolen—things she’s collected over the years to run her business.
Lexi has been doing hair since graduating from Paul Mitchell School, and she’s been a part of the New Port Richey hair community long before opening her own salon in 2021. She specializes in blondes and has worked so hard to build her business from the ground up. Just 2 weeks before the robbery, she rebranded and moved into a new salon suite, putting so much of her time, money, and energy into making it perfect—only to have it all taken away overnight.
Now, she’s feeling heartbroken and overwhelmed, trying to clean up, replace stolen tools, and reschedule clients—all while processing everything. Some of the tools stolen were ones she’s had for years and wasn’t planning on replacing yet. And to make things harder, she doesn’t have insurance on the new space yet, so she’s paying for everything out of pocket.
Lexi has always gone above and beyond for her clients—they mean the world to her, and she truly loves the sense of community her job gives her. She’s asking for their patience while she rebuilds, but she shouldn’t have to do this alone.
Lexi is not the type to ask for help, but I know how much she could use it right now. This isn’t just about replacing supplies—it’s about helping her get back to doing what she loves without this taking away her passion. If you can donate, even a little makes a huge difference. And if you can’t, sharing this means the world.
Let’s help Lexi get back on her feet and continue making people feel their best.
Thank you so much for the support!
