Help Lexi Kick Cancer

I would like to tell you about my God-Daughter Alexis Duffy. Lexi, as everyone calls her, is a 9 year old little girl who was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma a little over 2 weeks ago. It is a rare type of cancer that forms in soft tissues. It has spread very quickly throughout Lexi's body. What was just a lump in her armpit, then turned into a mass in her stomach, another pushing on her spine and lesions on the brain.
It is going to be a long road ahead for Lexi. She will be going for chemo treatments every week for about a year doctors have told her parents. The 4th week of every month she will be back in the hospital for a high dose of chemo. Depending on how she does will determine how long a stay she will have. She will also need an immunity shot every week because she will be more likely to catch other illnesses. More surgeries are in her future.
Her parents are working though this diagnosis and trying to keep up with life. Lexi has an older sister and a twin sister. Her mom was able to stay with her in the hospital but due to the Coronavirus her dad wasn't able to see her other than through facetime. It has been very had on her sisters not seeing her and missing her. But, this has been doubly hard on Lexi's mom, Stacey, whose mom, Marie is fighting Pancreatic Cancer right now as well. In about 6 months Stacey has learned of her mothers cancer and now her daughters. Please Keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Before the cancer Lexi loved playing soccer. She was on a team. Her position was full back and some times she played on the front line. She is a loving sister and daughter who loves to laugh and play. She always has a smile on her face and a bounce in her step. Her hugs are the best and I love hearing her say "Hi Aunt Cindy guess what I did today?" She is just so lovable.
Lexi's parents go paycheck to paycheck. Insurance is going to cover most of the cost but there will be bills that they will need to pay. There will be gas spent driving to Johns Hopkins at least once a week. I'm sure there will be many unforeseen expenses.
