Hey, friends.

Well, here I am again, asking for money for my family in our time of need. I hate having to put my hand out, but my mother has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. I've made the difficult decision to not send her to a nursing facility. Instead, Hugo and I are taking care of her at home. Turns out, it is a full-time job, and I'll lose my actual job. More worrisome, I'll lose health insurance, which terrifies me. I'm asking for just enough money to get me through the few weeks or months mom has left, a few months of COBRA, and a caretaker to help us with this immense undertaking.

I know many of you donated for my cousin's campaign when she had cancer, so I understand not wanting to give again. Please note, should you choose to help us, it is tax deductible.

I thank everyone for their words of encouragement, cards and calls. I love you all more than you'll ever know. I promise to pay it forward.
