Help Lexi Avoid Eviction Amid A Chronic Illness Crisis
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alexandria, but I go by Lexi. I hope whoever is reading this is doing well. My story's kind of a long one, but I'm going to try to summarize it.
I have struggled with my health ever since I was about 12. I had terrible menstrual cycles that resulted in internal bleeding, hospitalizations, and just general distress. Unfortunately, last year my body finally gave out. After working hard to get my GED and CNA in 2023, I got my dream job working in a Neuro rehabilitation center. That was unfortunately short-lived. Around June of 2024, I could no longer work my dream job. I went on medical leave and needed abdominal surgery. I was then finally diagnosed with endometriosis. I thought I was finally on the mend, but unfortunately, I developed a postoperative infection pretty soon after. I recovered from that after a few weeks, but never from the surgery entirely. I still have severe chronic pain, fatigue, and I feel ill more often than not. We are still trying to figure out why I'm this sick; they don't think it's all endometriosis-related, but we'll see.
I still have a full-time job and I actually got my RBT certification despite all of this, but I can't work the hours needed to make ends meet. I am also not in a situation where I can live with my parents; I have my own apartment I pay for. I will be evicted on the 6th of February if I cannot figure something out. I hate to even ask and I know many people have it worse than me, but genuinely anything helps! I'm at a loss currently, so I figured I should at least try this. I'm a very dedicated, hard-working person. I feel awful asking for help and I wish I could just do this alone, but I can't. I just need help catching up on some bills so everything is more manageable given my new circumstances.
If you've made it this far, thank you for reading a little bit about my situation. Again, anything helps. Thank you!
